Hannah Lee, President

Hannah Lee is Esther Lee’s younger sister and only sibling. Hannah grew up attending doctor’s appointments with Esther. She was fascinated with all the equipment and gadgets. She was fluent in “Esther” and understood nearly everything she said. As a kid, if she was mad at Esther, she would “pretend” she could not understand her and not interpret for her. She was inspired to attend law school when she was providing care for Esther during her 1L summer internship at Homeless Action Center in Berkeley and saw Esther assisting clients experiencing homelessness. She followed in Esther’s footsteps, as younger sisters tend to do, and attended law school at the University of California, Davis, School of Law, where Esther attended law school. She passed both California and Illinois Bar Exams. She currently practices immigration law, representing detained immigrant children. One of Hannah’s most vivid memories of Esther is of Esther telling her how proud she was of her. Hannah in turn is proud to carry the torch as President of the Esther Lee Foundation to fulfill Esther’s dreams of helping individuals with disabilities achieve greater independence, happiness, and sense of purpose.
